Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong began his first three-day visit to India on Tuesday, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties. Accompanied by senior ministers, Wong will hold bilateral talks with PM Narendra Modi, call on President Droupadi Murmu, and meet key cabinet leaders. The visit focuses on boosting economic engagement, with agreements in green energy, shipping, aviation, and space. Both sides will virtually inaugurate a USD 1 billion Singapore-funded container terminal in Maharashtra. Cooperation is expanding into sustainability, advanced manufacturing, digitalisation, and green hydrogen. The visit aims to set the tone for deeper strategic partnership and future collaboration.
