India Tells UNGA: Ukraine Conflict’s Collateral Impact, Including Fuel Prices, Hitting Global South

India told the UNGA it regrets the collateral impact of the Ukraine conflict, especially rising fuel prices hurting the Global South. Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish stressed diplomacy, not war, is the solution, welcoming recent US-led peace efforts involving Trump, Putin, Zelensky, and European leaders. PM Modi remains engaged with Putin, Zelensky, and EU leaders, reiterating his stance that “this is not an era of war.” India highlighted humanitarian aid to Ukraine and support for Global South economies, while EAM Jaishankar discussed cooperation with Ukraine’s FM. India reaffirmed dialogue and diplomacy as the only path to lasting peace.
