President Murmu: True Empowerment Lies in Recognising People’s Rights

President Droupadi Murmu, addressing tribal leaders under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, stressed that true empowerment comes not from schemes but by recognising people’s rights. She called for speedy resolution and digitisation of pending claims under the Forest Rights Act, highlighting its role in social justice, equality, and environmental protection. Murmu urged tribal communities to be active participants and co-creators in nation-building, not just beneficiaries. She praised the mobilisation of 20 lakh “adi-karmayogis” to reach 11 crore tribals. She also lauded the launch of Adi Vaani, an AI-based tribal language translation tool, as vital for cultural preservation and inclusive development.
