PM Modi to Inaugurate Projects Worth ₹18,531 Crore in Assam on September 14

Assam is set for a major development boost as PM Narendra Modi will lay foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 18,000 crore on September 14. Key initiatives include Darrang Medical College, a nursing college, a GNM school (Rs 567 crore), the Narengi–Kuruwa bridge, and the Guwahati Ring Road project across Kamrup, Darrang, and Ri-Bhoi districts (Rs 7,000 crore). CM Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed preparations are underway. He also addressed political issues, including ST recognition for six communities and BJP’s growing presence in BTR, while clarifying certain leaders are not part of the party and wishing them well in other affiliations.
