A five-member RJD delegation met Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and two other election commissioners on Thursday to raise concerns about the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. The team questioned why the Election Commission had not issued notices to individuals whose names were removed during the draft roll stage of SIR. They also expressed concern over the counting process, specifically why postal ballots were not counted before the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) counting began. The meeting highlighted the party’s apprehensions regarding transparency and procedural clarity in the SIR process in Bihar.
