Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday described the SIT report on MP Gaurav Gogoi’s alleged links to Pakistan as a “very explosive” 96-page document. He claimed the report revealed a cartel working to defame India’s development processes, involving one Pakistani citizen and Gogoi’s British wife. CM Sarma stated that the state cabinet would review the report and decide on further action after the Bodoland Territorial Council elections. He emphasized that he would personally examine the report upon returning to Guwahati, after which it would be made public and appropriate measures concerning national security would be determined.
