Tripura CM Manik Saha, speaking on the 58th Engineer’s Day at Pragya Bhavan, emphasized engineers as the backbone of state development, especially in infrastructure. Paying tribute to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya, he noted their indispensable role in progress. Aligning with PM Modi’s 2047 vision, Saha highlighted Tripura’s journey toward becoming a developed state, currently ranked fifth nationally. Key institutions like TIT, NIT, IIIT, ICFAI, and Techno India are shaping technical talent. With Rs 7,000 crore allocated for infrastructure, engineers drive projects from roads to digital governance. He urged engineers to harness local resources, boost livelihoods, GSDP, and foster entrepreneurship.
