Four months after acting CEO Ved Mani Tewari’s ouster, NSDC continues to face turmoil. The Ministry of Skill Development filed a complaint with Delhi Police on August 1 against key officials, including Ravi Shanker Verma and Rajesh Swaika, alleging illegal appointments and potential misappropriation of government funds. Verma was terminated the next day, while Swaika remains in the organisation. The Ministry urged immediate preventive action. NSDC, a not-for-profit public-partnership company, had earlier revoked authorisations post-Tewari’s exit. Additionally, FIRs were filed against around 40 training partners for attendance record tampering under PM Kushal Vikas Yojana, with some firms challenging the action in court.
