The new $799 Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses feature a small built-in digital display in the right lens, enabling users to read messages, view photo previews, and read live captions during conversations. Controlled via a fuzzy gray wristband with EMG sensors detecting hand gestures, the glasses are easy to wear, though the wristband delivers a slight electric jolt when activated. Unlike last year’s Orion prototype, these glasses are consumer-ready and go on sale September 30 in the U.S. The display is translucent, miniaturized, and primarily functional for simple tasks like camera use or checking music, rather than full immersive visuals.
