Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev met India’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in agriculture. Key topics included enhancing agricultural trade, expanding India’s exports, and formalizing ties through a potential MoU. Chouhan emphasized India-Russia mutual trust, food security, increasing farmer incomes, and promoting safe, nutritious food access. Patrushev highlighted longstanding cooperation and Russia’s interest in deepening trade relations. The meeting followed Patrushev’s discussion with PM Narendra Modi at World Food India on agriculture, fertilizers, and food processing. Senior officials from both countries, including Russia’s agriculture and veterinary representatives, also participated.
