India marked a new milestone in its digital journey as BSNL launched its government-owned “Swadeshi 4G Network” nationwide, promoting indigenous technology and promising faster, more reliable 4G services. The inaugural ceremony was held at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati, beginning with a tribute to late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the network virtually. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assam IT Minister Keshab Mahanta, and other dignitaries were also present.
