Speaking at BJP headquarters in Kohima, he linked the initiative to the historical Swadeshi movement, emphasizing self-reliance in modern sectors like technology, defence, semiconductors, Indian languages, and traditional crafts. The campaign includes online quizzes, essay competitions, seminars, and Swadeshi fairs across the state. Patton urged citizens to integrate Swadeshi into daily life, strengthen local industries, reduce import dependence, and spread the movement’s message to every village and household in Nagaland.
