LGBI Airport Sees 29% Growth in Flight Operations, Targets Over 1,100 Weekly Movements for Summer 2025
Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati has witnessed a significant rise in weekly flight operations—both domestic and international—with a 29 percent increase compared to its 2024 summer schedule.
Riding on this momentum, the airport has set a new benchmark for the 2025 summer season, aiming to handle over 1,108 weekly flight movements between March 31 and October 26, 2025. This includes a notable surge in daily domestic flights, which will increase to 156 per day, up from around 120 in the previous year’s schedule.
The enhanced schedule reflects LGBI Airport’s growing role as a key aviation hub in the Northeast, with expanded connectivity and improved operational capacity. The rise in movements includes a mix of increased domestic connectivity and steady growth in international operations, positioning the airport for a record-breaking summer season.
