At least 15 people were killed after a landslide struck a bus in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district following heavy rains. The bus, carrying 20–25 passengers, was crushed by debris, killing nine men, four women, and two children. Three injured children were rescued. Rescue teams, using heavy machinery, continued searching for missing passengers. President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi expressed condolences. Heavy rains have destabilized the region, causing landslides and floods across South Asia. In August, flash floods swept a village in Uttarakhand, while 44 people died in Nepal last weekend. Experts link worsening monsoons to human-driven climate change.
