J&K’s Rajouri: Security Forces Launch Major Hunt for Terrorists After Attack

The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with security forces, launched a major search operation in Rajouri’s Dhar Sakri forests to track terrorists who fired at a search party Tuesday night. An exchange of fire occurred between terrorists and the SOG team in Beeranthub, Kandi, prompting reinforcements from the Indian Army, police, and CRPF. The SOG had acted on intelligence about terrorist presence in the area. The terrorists fled deeper into the forests after retaliation. A similar joint operation took place in Dharni Top, Basantgarh, Udhampur, after locals reported sightings. No casualties or contact with terrorists have been reported so far.
