Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assured that justice will be delivered in the investigation of singer Zubeen Garg’s death, with the chargesheet to be filed within three months. Speaking in Dibrugarh, he stated the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is progressing well, with multiple arrests made and all accused to be presented in court. Logistical challenges exist as some Singapore-based witnesses have yet to return. Sarma emphasized patience, due process, and cooperation from Singapore authorities, noting that forensic reports have been shared. Five individuals, including Garg’s cousin and manager, are in custody following his death in Singapore on September 19.
