Meghalaya Governor Vijayashankar Receives Prestigious Kaveri Prashasti Award

Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar was honoured with the Kaveri Prashasti Award at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan, Shillong, presented by Dr Sri Sri Trinetra Mahanta Shivayogi Swamiji of Karnataka. The award recognises his outstanding contributions to public service, leadership, education, healthcare, peacebuilding, and spiritual service. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong, Cabinet Minister Marcuise N. Marak, and other dignitaries attended. Vijayashankar, accepting the award, called it a shared recognition for Meghalaya and expressed gratitude. Sangma praised the Governor’s integrity and lifelong dedication, noting the honour as an inspiration for youth to serve with sincerity and compassion.
