Nagaland Government Employees to Begin Pen-Down Strike from October 14

Government departments across Nagaland will observe a pen-down strike from October 14, coordinated by multiple service associations under the Joint Coordination Committee. Emergency, healthcare, power, water, road repairs, sanitation, and law enforcement services will continue uninterrupted. The committee issued guidelines on October 9 to ensure peaceful participation and clarity on essential services. All affiliated associations must comply, while non-affiliated agencies’ opposing directives do not apply. Employees must follow attendance protocols, and department heads document participation. Associations are responsible for clear communication to avoid public inconvenience. Departments may identify additional exempted services based on operational needs.
