Tripura plans to develop a state-of-the-art adventure, eco-tourism, and water park in Sachindranagar Colony, Jirania, West District, aiming to boost tourism and create local employment. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury discussed the project on October 10 with SIDBI officials, highlighting dual objectives of attracting domestic and foreign tourists and generating jobs. Modeled on Kolkata’s Niko Park, the project will receive financial support from SIDBI under its Cluster Development Fund Scheme (SCDF). Chowdhury emphasized timely completion and explored further collaboration with SIDBI to strengthen Tripura’s tourism infrastructure and attract investments, positioning the state as a prominent national and international tourist destination.
