Chandmari Flyover to Close for Three Nights for Maintenance Work: PWRD Assam

The Public Works (Roads) Department (PWRD), Assam, announced a temporary closure of the Chandmari Flyover in Guwahati for three nights—October 13, 15, and 17, 2025, from 10 PM to 6 AM—for essential bearing replacement and maintenance. Traffic between Guwahati Commerce College and Chandmari points will be diverted via Rajgarh–Pub Sarania, MT–Bamunimaidan Railway Colony, Mathgaria–Noonmati, and Krishnagar–Milanpur roads. Authorities, including PWD, Kamrup (Metro), and Traffic Police, are coordinating to ensure smooth work and traffic management. The maintenance is crucial for structural safety and longevity, with precautions taken to minimize disruption to commuters.
