Google Cloud has announced its largest investment in India to date, totaling $15 billion over five years (2026-2030). This investment will help establish its first AI hub in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Andhra Pradesh. The data center, which will operate on a gigawatt scale, will be part of Google’s global AI network and will receive support from partners AdaniConnex and Airtel. The hub's goal is to provide low-latency infrastructure to help Indian businesses and startups create AI solutions. Additionally, Google plans to expand its subsea cable infrastructure to Vizag, which will improve digital connectivity. The announcement occurred at an event attended by key Union Ministers and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
