ACB Raids Jaipur PWD Engineer in Disproportionate Assets Case, Unearths Wealth Worth ₹4 Crore

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday conducted raids at multiple locations linked to Hariprasad Meena, an executive engineer with the Public Works Department (PWD), in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case.

According to ACB Director General Ravi Prakash Meharda, the searches revealed assets significantly exceeding Meena’s known sources of income. Preliminary estimates suggest Meena amassed wealth worth nearly ₹4 crore — approximately 200% more than his legitimate earnings since joining government service.

ACB teams searched five locations associated with Meena, including his residences and office in Jaipur, a farmhouse, and a rented house in Friends Colony, Dudu.

Among the seized assets were high-end vehicles valued at around ₹2 crore. The fleet includes two Audi cars, a Mahindra Scorpio, a Ford Endeavour, and a Royal Enfield motorcycle. Officials also reported that Meena spent nearly ₹45 lakh on foreign travel and stays at luxury hotels, as noted in a summary prepared by the bureau.

Further investigations uncovered significant real estate investments. Meena reportedly purchased three premium apartments in the Mahal Road area of Jaipur, estimated to be worth around ₹1.5 crore. He also owns a luxurious farmhouse in his native village of Bagdi, located in the Lalsot tehsil of Dausa district.

Financial records revealed that Meena and his family operated accounts in 19 different banks, with transactions involving crores of rupees. Notably, bank loans taken for property and vehicle purchases were repaid in unusually short periods, raising further suspicion.

The ACB is continuing its investigation to determine the full extent of the alleged illicit assets and financial irregularities.
