Pakistani troops have continued unprovoked small arms firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir for five consecutive nights, targeting areas in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, and Akhnoor sectors, according to Lt Colonel Suneel Bartwal of the Indian Army's Northern Command. The firing began shortly after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty following a terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. The Indian Army has responded in a controlled and effective manner to the provocations. Despite repeated incidents since April 27, no casualties have been reported on the Indian side.
