Apple is reportedly developing a lighter and more affordable version of its Vision Pro mixed reality headset, potentially launching between late 2025 and mid-2026. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new "Vision Air" model aims to address concerns over the original headset’s weight and high cost. It may feature reduced hardware, such as fewer sensors, lower display resolution, and no EyeSight display, to cut weight and price. The device might require tethering to an iPhone or Mac. Apple is also working on a second-generation Vision Pro with ultra-low latency, targeting professional use cases like surgery and flight simulation.
