Notorious Criminal Shot and Injured by Police After Chain Snatching in Guwahati

Notorious criminal Ronesh Daimari was injured in police firing during an attempted arrest in Guwahati's Jalukbari area after allegedly snatching a gold chain in Sundarpur. Resisting arrest, he tried to flee, prompting police to open fire. A pistol was recovered from the scene. Daimari, with over 100 criminal cases against him including thefts, robberies, and abductions, had recently been released on bail after being arrested in December. This marks the second time he has been shot by police, with a prior incident near 13 Mile, Jorabat. He was closely associated with slain car thief Boga, both criminals sharing familial ties.
