The portals of Kedarnath Temple opened on Friday at 7 am, with over 12,000 pilgrims attending. Located over 11,000 ft high, the temple was decorated with 108 quintals of 54 flower varieties from countries like Nepal, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. As the third Char Dham temple to reopen, it follows Gangotri and Yamunotri (April 30), with Badrinath set to open on May 4. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first puja. A grand new aarti at the Mandakini-Saraswati confluence has been introduced. Notable attendees included priests, officials, and religious leaders, with all arrangements made for the devotees’ experience.
