Reliance NU Suntech, a subsidiary of Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for Asia’s largest single-site solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The 930 MW solar capacity, paired with a 465 MW/1,860 MWh BESS, will supply power at ₹3.53/kWh. With a ₹10,000 crore investment, the project is set to be commissioned in 24 months. It follows NU Suntech's winning bid in SECI’s Tranche XVII auction. The deal underscores Reliance Power’s shift toward sustainable energy, expanding beyond its current 5,305 MW portfolio.
