Meghalaya CM Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated solar-powered classrooms at the Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Tura. The initiative aims to provide digitally-enabled learning in power-deficient areas. These classrooms, equipped with solar energy systems, ensure uninterrupted power, promoting interactive and tech-driven education. The project, part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is a collaboration with Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE), the PA Sangma Foundation, and Shree Cement. CM Sangma expressed gratitude to partners for supporting equitable education and sustainable development, emphasizing that the initiative brings Meghalaya closer to a future with quality education for all.
