Assam may soon have a Japanese Language Centre to train youth for short-term job opportunities in Japan, announced Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after diplomatic talks with an ASEAN ONE delegation led by Toshiaki Nishikawa. Sarma also welcomed a Japanese delegation led by Speaker Nukaga Fukushiro—marking the fourth visit since February—highlighting deepening bilateral cooperation. Sarma recalled inviting Fukushiro during his February Japan visit, and later accompanied the delegation, now over 50 members strong, to the upcoming Tata semiconductor facility site.
