"Guwahati Police Seizes Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN)"

A joint operation by Basistha Police Station and the Special Task Force (STF) Assam led to the seizure of fake Indian currency notes (FICN) in Kerakuchi. The team confiscated 282 counterfeit 500-rupee notes, 203 bundles of black paper wrapped in RBI-printed sheets, a mobile phone, and a scooty. Abedur Rahman, alias Abed, a 33-year-old resident of Hajo, was arrested in connection with the case. Legal action has been initiated against him. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts to curb counterfeit currency circulation in the region.
