Helicopter Crash Near Gangnani Kills 6 While En Route to Gangotri from Dehradun

A helicopter heading to Gangotri Dham from Dehradun crashed near Gangnani in Uttarkashi on Thursday morning, killing six people and injuring one. The crash occurred around 8:45 am, with five women and one man (the pilot) among the deceased. The helicopter, operated by Heli Aerotrans, had taken off from Sahastradhara helipad and was en route to Harsil. The rescue operation involved police, SDRF, and medical teams. The crash site was a 200-250 meter deep gorge. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed sorrow, ensuring all assistance to the injured and a thorough investigation.
