Guwahati Tragedy: 10-Year-Old’s Body Found in Trolley Bag, Mother and Her Partner Arrested

In a shocking incident in Guwahati’s Basistha area, the body of 10-year-old Mrinmoy Rajbongshi was found stuffed inside a trolley bag. He had gone missing from Beltola a day earlier. Police arrested Jitumani Haloi, who confessed to murdering Mrinmoy after picking him up from tuition. Haloi, allegedly in a relationship with the victim’s mother, Dipali Rajbongshi, reportedly killed the boy with her help. Dipali, who had filed a missing complaint to mislead police, has also been detained. Mrinmoy, a Class V student, lived with his mother in Six Mile. Both accused are employed in different sectors. Investigation is ongoing.
