Domestic stock markets opened lower on Tuesday, a day after a sharp gain, following the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. The BSE Sensex dropped 788.62 points to 81,641.28, while the NSE Nifty fell 209.90 points to 24,714.80. Major losers included Infosys, HCL Tech, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, while gainers included Sun Pharma and Tata Steel. On Monday, the indices surged sharply with the Sensex rising by 2,975.43 points (3.74%) and the Nifty up by 916.7 points (3.82%), driven by a ceasefire agreement and the US-China trade deal. Market cap increased by Rs 16.15 lakh crore.
