Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the deep historical and spiritual connection between Hindus and Balochistan, focusing on the sacred Hinglaj Mata Temple—one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Located in Hingol National Park, the temple marks the spot where Goddess Sati’s head fell and is a revered pilgrimage site for communities like Sindhi, Bhavsar, and Charan. Sarma emphasized Balochistan’s ancient Hindu cultural heritage, predating India’s partition. He also noted the temple’s unique respect among the Baloch people, who affectionately call it “Nani Mandir,” symbolizing interfaith harmony and shared reverence.
