Pijush Hazarika Inspects Raha Flood Control Projects, Demands Contractor Accountability

Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika reviewed anti-flood works in Raha, Nagaon, inspecting the Kolong River embankment project aimed at flood resilience under CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s vision. He emphasized modern scientific methods like porcupine structures to reduce erosion and urged engineers and contractors to complete pending works promptly, stressing the urgency for affected communities. Officials also inspected erosion zones in Dongra, pushing for accelerated protection before monsoon. Hazarika also criticized Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi over alleged foreign citizenship sympathies, calling him unfit to serve the nation for failing to uphold Indian pride and counter allegations.
