On May 20, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted the invitation to join the year-long celebrations marking Sikkim’s 50th statehood anniversary. Modi will visit Sikkim on May 29 to participate in the historic events. From New Delhi, CM Tamang expressed pride in inviting the Prime Minister on behalf of Sikkim’s people and praised Modi for accepting. He also congratulated Modi on the success of Operation Sindoor, calling it a significant achievement in India’s fight against terrorism. The CM urged citizens to warmly welcome the Prime Minister during the celebrations.
