Tata Motors aims to double its premium hatchback market share to 25% in FY26 with the launch of the upgraded Altroz, priced between ₹6.89–11.29 lakh. The premium hatch segment sees 25,000–30,000 unit sales monthly, and Altroz had earlier reached a 27% share. The new Altroz features enhanced styling, tech, and safety. Tata is focusing on premium hatches for better margins, avoiding entry-level cars. Tiago's update led to 20% growth. First-time buyers and tier-2 markets are key drivers. An Altroz EV is planned but pending finalization. Tata is also expanding exports to markets like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Mauritius.
