Justice Kempaiah Somashekar Takes Oath as Manipur High Court's Ninth Chief Justice

Justice Kempaiah Somashekar took oath as the ninth Chief Justice of Manipur High Court on May 22. The oath-taking ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan’s Darbar Hall in Imphal, administered by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla. Appointed by the President of India on May 20, Justice Somashekar previously served at the Karnataka High Court. The ceremony was attended by Manipur High Court judges, the Chief Secretary, Security Advisor, Director General of Police, senior civil, police, military, judicial officials, and Bar Association representatives. This marks the beginning of Justice Somashekar’s tenure as Manipur High Court’s Chief Justice.
