Assam’s Tezpur University Signs Agreement with Thailand University for Academic and Cultural Collaboration

Assam’s Tezpur University and Thailand’s Silpakorn University signed an MoU on May 23 for academic collaboration, joint research, and faculty-student exchange programs. The agreement, signed at Silpakorn University’s President’s Office, focuses on sharing academic resources, organizing seminars, workshops, and promoting cultural understanding through interdisciplinary studies. Tezpur University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh, highlighted that the MoU will foster collaborative learning and scholarly dialogue between India and Thailand. It also aims to strengthen historical and cultural ties between Assam’s Tai-Ahom and other Tai communities and Thai heritage.
