India, Pakistan Hold DGMO-Level Talks on Border Issues

India and Pakistan held their weekly DGMO-level talks on Tuesday via a hotline, focusing on border management amid an ongoing ceasefire. These routine discussions follow the May 10 understanding between Indian DGMO Lt-Gen Rajiv Ghai and Pakistani DGMO Maj-Gen Kashif Abdullah to halt hostilities that began on May 7. Both sides are working on reducing troop presence and high alertness along the border. The ceasefire, initiated after Indian precision strikes on Pakistani airbases, is conditional on Islamabad’s conduct.
