Assam Skill University Collaborates with Sainik Welfare Directorate to Empower Ex-Servicemen

Assam Skill University and the Directorate of Sainik Welfare signed an MoU on 29 May 2025 to empower ex-servicemen and their families by integrating their military skills with civilian workforce training. The initiative aims to prepare veterans for roles in industry, government, and PSUs, focusing on rehabilitation and employment for those retiring young. It also supports widows and dependents in building sustainable careers. Designated SPOCs ensure effective implementation. This partnership enhances veteran integration, boosts regional socio-economic development, and serves as a model for nationwide veteran support, reflecting Assam’s commitment to honoring and assisting its ex-servicemen and their families.
