Google is rolling out a major update to its Photos app, bringing AI-powered features previously exclusive to Pixel phones—like Reimagine and Auto Frame—to Android and iPhone users. Reimagine allows natural language-based image editing, while Auto Frame uses AI for smart cropping and framing. The app’s editor is also getting a redesigned layout and added tools. New features include QR code album sharing, travel history mapping, contextual photo search, auto-curated recaps, and AI-generated video montages. Other updates include photo auto-stacking, the ability to hide specific people, and freeing up device space by deleting cloud-backed files. Android gets the update next month, iOS later.
