On World Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Sindoor sapling at his official residence in New Delhi. The sapling was gifted by brave women from Kutch who had shown courage during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The act holds deep symbolism following the April Pahalgam terror attack where Hindu men were killed in front of their wives. Sindoor, a symbol of Hindu marriage, became a national emblem of resistance. India responded with Operation Sindoor, targeting terror bases in Pakistan and PoK. PM Modi, who reportedly named the operation, stated, “Not blood, but sindoor flows through my veins,” signaling India's resolve.
