The United States and China have reached a preliminary “framework” agreement on trade after two days of talks in London, aimed at easing tensions. While specific details remain unclear, the deal follows a previous 90-day tariff pause announced in Geneva. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said both sides worked through major issues and would seek approval from Presidents Trump and Xi. China's Vice Commerce Minister Li described the talks as “professional” and “candid.” The agreement raised hopes in global markets, with Asian stocks rising. However, experts caution that implementing the deal will be complex and progress will require sustained cooperation.
