Assam Cabinet Approves Pay Hike for ASHA Workers, Clears Land Under Mission Basundhara

On June 10, the Assam Cabinet, chaired by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, made key decisions across multiple sectors. ASHA workers and supervisors will receive increased monthly honorariums starting October 1, 2025. Land allotments were approved for 1,011 institutions and 146 government infrastructure projects under Mission Basundhara. The Pollution Control Board, Assam, has been renamed Assam Pollution Control Board for uniformity. Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr. Sonal Mansingh will receive the Srimanta Sankardeva Award 2023 on June 12. These moves aim to boost healthcare, public infrastructure, environmental governance, and cultural recognition across Assam.
