The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at eight locations in Karnataka, including the residences of Ballari MP E Tukaram and four Congress MLAs—Nara Bharath Reddy, J N Ganesh, N T Srinivas, and B Nagendra—linked to the alleged Valmiki Corporation scam. The ED is investigating claims that funds siphoned from the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation were used to bribe voters during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called the raids a conspiracy, while CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar maintained that the law must take its course and denied any wrongdoing by party MLAs.
