IndiGo to Launch Delhi–Jorhat Flights from Sept 20; Expands Connectivity in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced new IndiGo flight routes to boost the state’s air connectivity. The major highlight is the launch of the long-awaited Delhi–Jorhat daily direct flight starting September 20, 2025. Other additions include early morning flights between Guwahati–Silchar and Guwahati–Dibrugarh from the same date. A Guwahati–Navi Mumbai route will be introduced in IndiGo’s Winter 2025 schedule. The CM credited his discussions with IndiGo’s top management for these developments and thanked the airline. The new routes aim to improve connectivity, particularly to Upper Assam, and promote economic growth and regional integration across the state.
