Devotees allowed on Nilachal Hills only between 5 AM–6 PM: Guwahati Police issues Ambubachi guidelines

Ahead of the Ambubachi Mahayog 2025 at Kamakhya Temple from June 22–25, Guwahati Police has issued 10 key guidelines to ensure safety and smooth conduct. Devotees can access Nilachal Hills only from 5 AM to 6 PM due to heavy footfall and landslide risk. Only essential service vehicles are permitted; senior citizens and infants are advised to avoid visiting. VIP darshan and public access via Pandu–Kamakhya Road are restricted. Loudspeakers, music, and processions are banned. Darshan resumes on June 26 from Bongshi Bagaan Ground. Devotees must walk barefoot. Emergency helpline 112 is available. Public cooperation is strongly urged.
