Tripura Provides Jobs to 18 Families Affected by Political Killings

Tripura Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced that 18 individuals, whose family members were victims of political killings, have been given government jobs by the BJP-led state government. A committee reviewed 39 applications, approving 18 and recommending 5 more recently. Nath highlighted rampant political violence before BJP came to power in 2018, mainly affecting Congress workers. The initiative aims to support affected families regardless of political affiliation. Tripura, formerly ruled by the CPI(M)-led Left Front, saw decades of political unrest. Nath added that BJP workers too faced violence since 2017. The move is seen as a step toward justice and rehabilitation.
