Over 1.14 Lakh Aadhaar Update Requests Pending in Imphal West, Manipur

In a bid to improve Aadhaar accuracy for children, the Imphal West Deputy Commissioner has mandated biometric updates at ages 5 and 15. Currently, 1,14,006 updates are pending—65,487 for age 5 and 48,519 for age 15. Manipur lags behind national Aadhaar enrolment averages, especially for ages 0-5. Parents are urged to complete updates by 31st August 2025 at nearby Aadhaar centres. All block and municipal officials are instructed to submit weekly progress reports and boost enrolment efforts. Lists of designated Aadhaar operators (UNINGTHOU and MANITRON) will be available on the district website for public coordination.
